Kveso for Hospitality introduces contactless technology products - Catering to the rising demand for going touch-free in
In conversation with NWDCo Software Solutions LLP founder Nishir Gordhandas & Economic Times - Hospitality World - India's Most Premium Hospitality Portal
The idea of contactless technology in the hotel industry is not new, though until now it has been regarded as an operational luxury rather than a must-have. But a confluence of factors set in motion by the ongoing Covid-19 crisis has led hoteliers to re-evaluate nearly every aspect of how they do business and redefine whats essential.
It has thus become imperative to employ a property management system that can quickly activate and manage an array of contactless services. Catering to the rising demand, NWDCo Software Solutions have launched a variety of products under Kveso for Hospitality, which aims to provide seamless contactless operations. ETHospitalityWorld spoke to the Co-Founder and CEO of the company, Nishir Gordhandas to understand the products and how it is an ideal fit for hotels considering the current situation.
ETHW: Brief us about your products which will help the hospitality industry to tide over COVID-led crisis?

ETHW: How many hotels and resorts have you tied up with?
Nishir Gordhandas: We have been part of the hospitality industry for around ten years. Amongst brands, we have an opportunity to work with IHCL (Taj Group), Leela Group, Radisson amongst close to around 100 odd hotels across India and the Middle East. Apart from various services offered Kveso for passport scanning and Form C automation has been used by the above hotels for close to three years. Alongside, for the recently introduced contactless technology, we have got positive feedback from various hotels and will go live once the hotels resume operations.
ETHW: The current pandemic has brought in scope for the hospitality industry to reinvent in terms of technology offerings. What are your thoughts?
Nishir Gordhandas: Hospitality has always accepted technology to either offer a better guest experience or to an integrated approach to streamlining processes. In the current scenario, technology has now become the centre-stage for every aspect of hospitality as the hotel strives to optimise resources and offer a safer guest experience. With technology, hotels will be able to dramatically improve their services and also monitor the resolution to the guest query. I feel hotels will be more proactive about technology, rather than being reactive.

ETHW: Having said that your operations require a massive amount of data handling, how do you ensure cybersecurity and there is no breach of privacy?
Nishir Gordhandas: At NWDCo, we are always critical on the way we manage data. We tie-up with best India located data-centres like AWS (Amazon) to store data. All the data is encrypted with AES-256 and further all forms of data transfer are SSL encrypted. Further, the access to servers is protected with a 2 Factor authentication using our homegrown nAuth App. Further, all our applications are tested extensively internally as well as by a 3rd party to ensure data security and privacy.
In most applications mentioned above, we do not store any guest data on the cloud and directly transfer to the hotel PMS or as requested by the hotel. Even for Kveso Passport scan and Form C Automation, post FRRO, data can be truncated from Kveso Cloud. Hoteliers to log in also make use of nAuth applications, ensuring data security. Alongside, we are lucky to be guided by various hotel IT heads who help and guide us to implement best practices and build secure scalable software and mobile app.
