JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Director - Messaging & Productivity, the Senior Product Owner for Messaging and Email Security leads the strategic direction and product vision for Marriott's email messaging and email security platforms. This role drives business outcomes by deeply understanding user needs, security requirements, and organizational priorities to deliver valuable solutions at enterprise scale. As the product owner, you will define and execute the product strategy for our email platforms, partnering closely with engineering teams, security stakeholders, and business leaders to ensure solutions meet both user needs and enterprise security standards. You will be responsible for conducting ongoing product discovery to identify opportunities, validate solutions, and make evidence-based decisions about product direction.
Success in this role requires the ability to balance competing priorities across security, user experience, and operational efficiency. You will lead through influence, working across organizational boundaries to align stakeholders and drive decisions. Key to this is translating complex technical and security requirements into clear value propositions that resonate with diverse audiences from end users to executive leadership. This role demands a product mindset focused on outcomes rather than features, with demonstrated experience in modern product practices including discovery techniques, stakeholder management, and agile delivery methods. While technical knowledge of email security platforms is valuable, the primary responsibility is ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value to the organization through continuous learning and iteration. As the product evangelist, you will also engage with the broader technology community and vendors to identify emerging opportunities, maintain awareness of industry trends, and evolve our product offerings to meet future needs. This role operates within an agile framework, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on engagement with delivery teams.
