Job Description For Quadro Restaurant Chef (The Westin Dragonara Resort)
JOB SUMMARY
Quadro, the flagship restaurant at The Westin Dragonara Resort, is a contemporary brasserie specializing in simple, homemade food with a focus on select fresh, local produce with a light and healthy twist. The culinary approach follows a minimalist philosophy that reveals the purity of premium ingredients in their natural state, maximizing on both flavor and nutritional benefits. Enriched by its prime location and accomplished service from the skilled team, the wholesome menu is enhanced by a range of regionally inspired crafted cocktails and library of fine wines.
We are looking for a creative and motivated Chef to join our talented team. You will be responsible for creating and executing the culinary vision for the restaurant with an eye for quality, taste, and presentation.
Responsibilities include;
- Overseeing all kitchen operations, including the creation and execution of sophisticated and innovate menus.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, with a focus on fine dining excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the restaurant team, and consistently foster a culture of creativity to keep elevating our menu to the highest dining experience possible, whilst ensuring the achievement of culinary standards and procedures.
- Source the finest ingredients and maintain strong relationships with premium suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement to ensure the freshest and highest quality ingredients.
- Maintain a pristine and organized kitchen environment, adhering to the strictest health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve financial and operational goals, while maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Requirements;
- Higher Diploma in Culinary Arts/ Food Preparation & Production or related qualification
- Proven experience in a fine dining restaurant
- In possession of strong leadership skills, with Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, trends, and fine dining standards.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and deliver exceptional results consistently.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
