Job Description For Mechatronics Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a talented and motivated Mechatronic Engineer to manage and optimize our Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant operations. The role requires a strong background in PLC programming, mechanical and electrical systems, and automation. In addition, the Mechatronic Engineer will be responsible for ensuring quality control during the maintenance of new yachts, ensuring all systems function efficiently and meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- STP & RO Plant Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of STP and RO plants, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and operational efficiency.
- Design, implement, and maintain PLC-based automation systems to control plant operations and enhance performance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical, electrical, and control systems within the plants.
- Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.
- PLC Programming & Automation:
- Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs for plant control and automation, integrating both mechanical and electrical components.
- Monitor plant data, analyze performance metrics, and adjust control parameters to improve system efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
- Ensure robust safety measures and automation protocols are in place to protect plant infrastructure and personnel.
- Mechanical & Electrical Systems Management:
- Manage and maintain the mechanical and electrical infrastructure of the plants to ensure operational continuity.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on plant systems.
- Oversee the integration of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to streamline operations and maximize system uptime.
- Quality Control for Yacht Maintenance:
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed during the maintenance and repair of new yachts, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
- Work closely with yacht maintenance teams to diagnose issues, plan maintenance activities, and ensure systems function at optimal levels.
- Inspect yachts to ensure maintenance is performed to industry standards and specifications.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements to the maintenance processes, focusing on quality assurance and cost-effective solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and repairs for both the STP/RO plants and yachts.
- Prepare technical reports on system performance, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Communicate with management to report on system issues, propose improvements, and suggest upgrades for efficiency.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with PLC programming, automation systems, and industrial control systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic systems.
- Experience with the operation and maintenance of STP and RO plants is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in quality control and maintenance of yachts or similar systems is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Proficiency with SCADA systems, HMI software, and other industrial automation tools.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
Additional Skills: - Familiarity with industry regulations and standards for STP, RO plants, and yacht maintenance.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with CAD design software is a plus.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and troubleshoot system failures effectively
