JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Manager is a key member of the team responsible for creating and executing property-level communications to our customers. Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing Communication, this role promotes on-brand messaging through traditional, digital, and social media channels, aiming to enhance the hotel's image.
Key responsibilities include developing direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activating channels to drive consumer awareness and preference, increase market share, and build broader portfolio and brand awareness. This role focuses on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions to both hotel guests and local patrons.
As part of the Marketing Communication team, the Marketing Communications Manager is fully integrated with regional resources, liaising and building deep partnerships with regional eCommerce and Marketing teams to ensure all local, social, and digital marketing efforts are effectively aligned with the organization's sales efforts.
This role involves a mix of traditional and digital marketing, eCommerce activities, and contributing to public relations efforts for the hotel. Success is measured by the effectiveness in driving the property's sales and revenue strategy, social media engagement, and leveraging resources to create compelling marketing communications campaigns.

Education and Experience
Required:
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major and 4 years' experience in the sales, marketing
communications, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing, PR, advertising or digital agency experience preferred

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing, PR, advertising or digital agency experience preferred
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Hotel Marketing and Advertising
• Executes annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with the GM, Food and Beverage leader, Operations leaders, Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Marketing Communications, and Area Marketing and ecommerce teams.
• Partners with Operations, Food & Beverage, Spa and Sales teams to execute promotions and campaigns to target in-house guests with promotions that drive incremental revenue to the hotel.
• Acts as the liaison between the marketing department and advertising agency on the tactical advertising campaigns' creative and media plans, particularly for food and beverage promotions.
• Manages F&B media schedules and verifies prompt settlement of accounts.
• Partners with property/area Revenue team to verify correct offer loading, verifying advertisement targeting is correctly directed at relevant consumer groups
• Executes email marketing, and display advertising.
• Maintains frequent, active engagement with eCommerce team to verify alignment, pull-through, and 2-way communication about the status, performance evaluation, opportunities, and issues related to online programs and initiatives.
• Verifies all advertising for the hotel in digital channels is in alignment with brand voice.
Digital/Social Media Content Management
• Facilitate social media engagement and update content across digital channels (e.g., hotel website, OTA sites).
• Develop and execute promotional campaigns for F&B, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences through relevant digital and social media channels.
• Engage in proactive online reputation management by identifying and responding to relevant guest comments (positive or negative) on social media channels.
Public Relations and Visual Asset Management
• Help develop and timely execute a comprehensive PR plan.
• Maintain a comprehensive list of media and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) contacts.
• Write and distribute press releases for property events, promotions, and outlets.
• Manage the execution of hotel-sponsored events, community/government relations activities, and press promotional activities.
• Support impactful PR strategies and activities to drive quality press coverage through media engagement, aligning with communication objectives.
• Verify that news clippings and other online, print, and social media mentions are reported monthly for property distribution.
• Manage external vendors and agency partners, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality deliverables.
• Coordinate and manage seasonal promotion photo and video shoots and oversee the management of the resulting image and video assets.
Direct Marketing and Collateral Development
• Manage the execution of direct marketing activities in liaison with the Area Marketing team.
• Ensure all collateral adheres to brand standard guidelines and complies with the Brand Standard Audit (BSA).
• Control the quantity and inventory of all hotel marketing collateral and ensure copies are comprehensively filed.
• Coordinate and execute the production of hotel and F&B printed materials.
• Produce property, F&B displays, and temporary signage in hotel public areas.
General Responsibilities
• Assist in developing, coordinating, and executing all communications activities, with a strong focus on property F&B promotions and campaigns.
• Help publish the hotel's newsletter(s).
• Support various communications duties and functions as needed.
• Assist in liaising and executing F&B promotions.
• Work with eCommerce to ensure the hotel's website and related sites are regularly updated.
• Partner with the Director of Marketing Communications to create a marketing communications plan aligned with the hotel's sales and revenue strategy.
• Coordinate with property and above-property eCommerce and Revenue Management teams to report on the success of property marketing and eCommerce performance.
• Stay informed about competitors' collateral, advertising, marketing efforts, and evolving digital and marketing trends.
