JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Luxury Operations - US & Canada is a key member of the US & Canada Continent Lodging Services team. This position provides operational leadership, knowledge and skills in the Rooms and Related disciplines and helps drive guest satisfaction. The Manager functions as a business partner and supports the Area Director of Operations, Regional Vice Presidents, Area General Managers, General Managers, and Operations Leaders. The primary focus of this role is to support the Rooms and Related disciplines by implementing and sustaining programs that optimize the guest experience and drive operational excellence within the Luxury segment. This role will be based in the West Region to support properties in those locations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
• 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related professional area OR an equivalent combination of education and Luxury experience from which comparable skills and knowledge can be acquired.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible work experience in the Rooms Discipline(s) leading operational disciplines.
• High level of specialized knowledge and skill in Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, etc.
Preferred
• Luxury Hotel Operations Experience
• Possess excellent project management skills and ability to independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities; Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively with Senior Leaders and C-Suite Key Stakeholders Ability to positively influence without direct authority.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Provide support to Rooms and Related operations for Luxury Hotels in the continent promoting organizational alignment to the brand, discipline, and business priorities.
• Ensure the implementation and sustainability of all key business components, procedures, and standards to drive brand performance.
• Support the alignment of operations associates on the vision and mission of providing superior guest experiences in alignment with brand differentiators.
• Serve as subject matter expert regarding delivery of superior guest services and experiences in all operational disciplines to include Rooms and Food & Beverage.
• Conduct hotel visits to provide leadership and accountability for improving guest satisfaction and individual hotel performance. Proactively share feedback, guidance, and direction.
• Partner with hotel leaders to develop action plans and accountability measures for underperforming hotels; identifying opportunities and providing recommendations on how to drive positive results.
• Collaborate with Area Director of Operations - Luxury to execute action plans addressing hotel issues in Operational Excellence, Product Quality, Service Delivery, GSS, and financial performance.
• Assess areas of training focus, update training content for relevancy and assist in coordinating the execution of discipline specific training classes for all in-focus operational areas.
• Leverage knowledge and experience in the Luxury segment to identify and implement improvements in processes, creating key project plans, timelines, and action steps.
• Provide best practice and operational excellence guidance for Luxury Hotels working closely with the Brand Teams to establish alignment with on-going business priorities and standards.
• Actively share feedback in the test/pilot phase of Operations Initiatives in preparation for broader implementation, assist in managing the successful pull through of these items.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships for opportunities to improve product quality, service delivery, and enhanced training platforms, addressing the needs of the hotels to ensure operational expectations are met.
• Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.
The salary range for this position is $73,800 to $124,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
