Job Description For Manager, Contract Compliance
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Contract Compliance is responsible for the monitoring, consolidation, and reporting of key contractual milestones for the continent's owned/leased, managed, and franchised properties. The Analyst uses analytical skills and finance knowledge to constantly monitor business and competitive trends in markets in Asia Pacific to identify opportunities and threats to business goals. He/She assists in developing early warning systems to preempt or proactively inform and prompt the continent finance business leadership team in order to address non-compliant hotels.
The position will report to Contract Compliance Director within Finance Department. This position will work collaboratively with internal business customers and third parties, as needed.
SCOPE/BUSINESS CONTEXT/EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Review the new profile creation in agreement database to accurately document key financial terms in the hotel agreements and timely reflect updates from new amendments.
- Manage agreement database to ensure compliance with critical contractual key milestones for hotels such as fee changes, accurate calculations, billing limitations, contract renewals, performance test, and reporting requirements.
- Review fee setup calculation in agreement database according to hotel agreements with accuracy and monitor the different sources of fee calculation against agreement database.
- Perform final review of incoming dispute tickets on fee calculation and prepare checklist for approval.
- Manage reporting deliverable set up in a timely and accurate manner, and track completion status.
- Assist in ad-hoc requests as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILEKnowledge, Skills, and Attributes - Ability to work independently and take initiative, strong time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others at all levels, including senior management.
- Experience with reading and understanding franchise, management, and lease agreements, and evaluating legal and business issues is preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and techniques of accounting, and of financial records and transactions including, but not limited to, generally accepted accounting principles.
- Translates business needs into what needs to get done; ensures that all work is completed effectively; maintains high performance standard; works effectively by using a highly collaborative style.
- Creates an atmosphere in which timely information flows smoothly both upward and downward through the organization; possesses exceptional communication and presentation skills.

- Strong verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Verbal and written communication skills in Chinese is preferred.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Knowledge with QuickBase and PowerBI is a plus.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Minimum of eight years in financial management experience; hotel finance and accounting experience preferred.
