POSITION SUMMARY
Respond to repair or assistance requests throughout the Hotel utilizing the appropriate job management tool (Transcendent). Fix minor problems such as (but not limited to): unclogging drains; plunging toilets; repairing leaky spigots, faucets and cisterns; tightening loose toilet seats; changing light bulbs; patching holes in walls and woodwork, fixing TV/Audio equipment faults etc. Perform Routine Planned Maintenance (RPM's) in rooms and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM's) on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, visual checks and LOTO procedures. Record progress electronically. Manage daily workload of all tasks undertaken and be responsible for performance. Be willing to undertake larger projects such as painting, carpentry and electrics within individual skill set. Undertake all work adhering to the expectations of the Hotel and Guests, whilst observing H&S protocols at all times. Communicate with guests, customers and external contractors when necessary. Be available for on-call requests that may occur out of hours.
Follow all company safety & security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries, and complete all safety training and certifications as directed by the Engineering Manager. Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional at all times, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs and assist individuals with disabilities or who seek extra help. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines prior to work and ensure they are returned, ready for use, once finished. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds (25Kg) without assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps and/or ladders. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Engineering Manager/Senior Management.

Education and Experience
• High school diploma or Construction qualification
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• No supervisory experience is required

Install, Maintain, and Repair Items
• Use company reporting system (Transcendent) to perform assigned work or to report defects.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
• Ensure that all flammable materials are stored in OSHA and EPA approved containment devices.
• Respond and attend to guest repair requests either directly or via Front Desk or Housekeeping.
• Carry all equipment (e.g., keys, phones, pager, tools, radio) in order to maintain preparedness to carry out work tasks at all times.

• Perform Preventative Maintenance and Routine Maintenance Tasks throughout the property.
Maintain Building and Property
• Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the Engineering Manager
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment.
• Maintain records and logs, such as test results, instrument readings, equipment malfunctions either electronically or on paper.

• Communicate with customers and/or contractors when necessary to resolve maintenance issues.
