Job Description For Legal Assistant (Part-time)
The Greater China Continent Offices are responsible for overseeing the operation of Marriott properties across the region, including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The Law Department serves as the legal function across a range of disciplines, including development, asset management, lodging operations and employment.
JOB OVERVIEW
You will have exposure to different practice groups in the Law Department and work closely with, and learning from, professionals from Legal, Human Resources and other operation teams. This role offers excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in producing effective Tips to the Fields learning programs for hotel operations in the Greater China region, developing creative digital training materials and designing interactive internal communications. With us, you will also get a taste of how world class hotels operate.
WORK ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support various legal learning and development initiatives for regional offices and 580+ properties in the Greater China region
- Assist with key stakeholder presentations, briefing notes and in-house communications for internal engagements
- Assist with business writing and translation (English - Simplified Chinese - Traditional Chinese)
- Summarize general research and prepare executive summaries
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and special projects
DESIRED SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS - Welcome university students from all disciplines who are interested in employee training management, digital marketing, communications, hotel management or related fields
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams
- Attention to detail, diligence, dependability and high integrity are key factors
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, video recording and editing, and graphic design tools
Work Schedule: 2 days per week / 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
