POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Sous Chef has arisen within The Westin Dragonara Resort, a leading five star resort on the island. In this role, the successful candidate will be assisting the Executive Chef with all kitchen operations, by being accountable for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations. S/he will exhibit culinary talents by personally performing culinary tasks, while leading the kitchen staff and managing all food related functions. The selected applicant will work to continually improve guest satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Other duties include the supervision of all the kitchen areas to ensure that a consistent and high quality product is produced and the responsibility for guiding and developing direct reports whilst ensuring the achievement of sanitation, culinary policies, standards and procedures.
