Job Description For Internship Sustainability & Culture - Design Hotels

Design Hotels™ is an unrivaled global community for design, architecture, culture, and the definite source of original experiences. This role is with the focus on exciting and insightful stories on design, architecture, art, music, food and sustainability within our key topic drivers of responsible travel, conscious destinations, holistic wellbeing, transformative experiences, and cultural exchange.

- Duration: 6 months
- Compensation: EUR 1000 / month

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sustainability - Support with planning and execution of sustainability related activities internally and with member hotels, online and offline
- Support in creating content and campaigns for consumers related to sustainability
- Maintain the Sustainable Hotels database. Ensure our sustainable member hotels are regularly kept updated on our initiatives
- Produce reports and presentations
- Organize and upload data to effectively track and monitor sustainability activities
- Collaborate with different teams to integrate sustainability initiatives internally and externally
- Seek out opportunities for innovation and improvement in sustainability practices, such as exploring new technologies or methodologies
- Regularly review and update sustainability policies and procedures to reflect industry standards and best practices
- Monitor trends, research, hotel sustainability activities, R&D etc
Culture - Assist in the development of our Impact Report by ensuring seamless workflow management and coordination
- Support our Impact Team initiatives by monitoring upcoming events, trends, and volunteering initiatives
- Maintain our internal platform updated with relevant content
- Provide assistance in organizing and managing internal events, ensuring smooth execution from planning to post-event assessment
- Support the development of company initiatives related to our employees / Assist in the creation and implementation of company initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and well-being
EXPERIENCE & MINDSET
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, German is not required-native English is a plus
- Great communication skills (specifically in English, writing and editing skills)
- Great understanding of brand identity and visual brand standards
- Organizational and prioritization skills
- Proactive team member who shows initiative
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with Keynote
- Excel/Google Sheets experience (bonus, not required)
