Human Resources Coordinator
(Learning & Development)
This role is focused on supporting the Learning & Development function of the resort, and is a full part of the Human Resources department. The role entails:
- To administer all aspects of learning, including but not limited the Marriott Learning Platform management ensuring this is continuously up to date across the property
- To assist our Ladies & Gentlemen in any learning related programs or benefits, while adhering to the resort and/or Marriott policies and procedures
- To assist our Ladies & Gentlemen, respond to their questions, requests, and concerns regarding access to the platform, cross training, Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines
- To handle sensitive issues with employees and/or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality
- To inform Human Resources management of issues related to employee relations within the division or property
- To maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records, files, and data
- To create and maintain filing system related to learning and development
- To be involved in the daily operations of the HR department including but not limited to supporting Community Footprints, employee events, etc.
- To support the Training Manager to prepare and facilitate training programs, including logistical preparation (venue booking, schedule arrangement, BEO request, attendance tracking, etc.), printing of material and handout, creation of presentations - digital and hardcopy
- To create surveys to gather feedback from the training programs and share the findings with the Training manager. Methods of collections may vary (QR codes, surveys, etc.)
- To answer phone calls and record messages
- To assist the HR Team on topics non-related to Learning & Development whenever required by the HR management team
- To support the Training manager on all aspects of Learning & Development
- To ensure compliance training goals are achieved by driving the completion with the leadership team and producing reports within required deadlines
- To collaborate with the HR management team on grooming standards and ensuring these are relevant to the property and are consistently enforced throughout the property
- To conduct and support resort activities, including but not limited to General Session, recognition programs, Learning Coach program and school related events
This position requires the following:
- Worked in a Human Resources or Training & Development for more than 3+ years, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Transpire genuine care
- Professional and polished work style, appearance, and communication
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Enjoy working with people directly
- Strong planning, organizing and execution skills
- Ability to prioritize and to efficiently manage workload
- Passionate in developing employee capabilities, interested in employee's potential and driven to help employee to achieve their career goal
- Creative in creating fun learning environment, energizers and ice breakers
- Strong Microsoft office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be confident and natural in public speaking
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Flexibility to arrive earlier than usual working hours may be required during Orientation to ensure smooth preparation and participation. Adherence to the standard working hours will be expected for all other responsibilities and tasks unless otherwise communicated
Additional responsibilities:
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Preferred qualifications:
- Education: College diploma or equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
