Job Description For Food & Beverage - Sales Manager
JOB OVERVIEW
The Food & Beverage Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving sales strategies across all F&B outlets, working closely with outlet managers, the special project manager, restaurant reservation teams, and kitchen departments. The main focus of this role is to create memorable experiences for our guests by coordinating seamless communication between all departments to ensure exceptional service. This position aims to increase guest volume, average spending, and private event bookings. The manager will work directly with all team members to refine service offerings and tailor experiences to both individual and group needs, driving revenue through personalized attention and bespoke events.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of F&B sales, an ability to cultivate lasting relationships with guests, and a knack for improving operational efficiency and profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Strong communication skills in English (a second language is preferred, but not essential).
- Proven experience in F&B operations with a focus on sales and guest service.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments (F&B outlets, reservations, kitchen, etc.) to meet guest needs.
- Ability to manage databases, customer relations, and ensure continuous guest engagement.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in F&B outlets sales or management, preferably with exposure to luxury or high-end dining settings.
- Experience in Mandarin-speaking environments is beneficial but not a requirement.
PERFORMANCE CONTRIBUTIONS - Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed revenue and sales targets for F&B outlets.
- Foster collaboration across teams, including F&B outlet managers, special project managers, kitchen staff, and restaurant reservations, to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Increase private dining bookings, upselling, and maximize opportunities for special events and group reservations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibilities (80% of time):
- Collaborate with F&B outlet managers to ensure smooth communication regarding guest needs and special requests.
- Engage regularly with restaurant reservations, the kitchen team, and outlet staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Work closely with the Special Project Manager to coordinate and promote key events that align with outlet goals, including themed nights, seasonal offerings, and private events.
- Focus on upselling opportunities across all F&B outlets, including private dining, group reservations, and exclusive buyouts.
- Take proactive steps to identify and engage with high-value guests, offering personalized services and promotions.
- Increase guest retention by following up after events and bookings, gathering feedback, and applying insights to improve future service.
- Ensure all relevant information (guest preferences, special requests, and feedback) is updated and shared across teams.
- Regularly review guest data and insights to identify trends and opportunities to improve service and sales.
- Work alongside the Executive Assistant Manager - F&B and Assistant Director of F&B to implement and oversee sales plans.
- Be available at the time of need to support event set-up and operational needs across the outlets, ensuring smooth execution of events and day-to-day operations.
Secondary Responsibilities (20% of time):
- Attend industry events and network with potential clients to build new business opportunities.
- Analyze competitors and industry trends to ensure the outlets are always ahead in providing exceptional service and experiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted promotional campaigns that drive traffic and engagement.
- Ensure a high level of visibility and recognition for F&B outlets in the marketplace.
