Job Description For FLEX Senior Design Coordinator
This is a temporary position.
Provides coordination and reviews architectural and design project activities, which include managed, franchised and company-owned hotels, to ensure quality control, brand compliance, operation acceptability and adherence. Supports design team with the quality assurance and design services for renovation as well as new build and conversion projects.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Assists design team in planning and execution of design and interior design management activities, reviews, and communication.
- Reviews incoming submittals for type, completeness, and coordinates with Business Support staff for recording and tracking within databases.
- Assists with maintaining, updating, and improving content of renovation and PIP scope templates, as well as design review documents within the database.
- Coordinates review/approval (with participation from appropriate disciplines) of variances from brand standards requested by owners due to specific project circumstances.
- Reviews documents and prepares written recommendations on compliance to brand standards.
- Coordinates review/approvals with participation from appropriate disciplines.
- Maintains project data and files for evolving design concepts as they apply to pipeline projects.
- Coordinate distribution of related project documents and information.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Key Skills/Requirements:• Knowledgeable about innovation and design trends in and beyond the hospitality industry
• Ability to work well in a high volume, fast-paced environment as a member of a collaborative team.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and design related applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior design, and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Architectural and space planning design skills
Education/Experience:• 4-year degree in Architecture or related design discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience within the industry.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
The pay range for this position is $39.03 to $51.20 per hour.
