Job Description For FLEX Logistics Manager Luxury Hotel Openings
This is a temporary position.
The Manager of Support, Hotel Opening & Transitions - Operations, will support the overall department in terms of technology as well as play a role in hotel opening operations team support. The manager will be responsible for maintaining existing support platforms as well as providing recommendations to leadership on technology to create efficiencies in business and hotel opening processes. The manager will be responsible for planning, organizing and on-site support to hotel openings based on specific brands. The manager will work with a diverse group of individuals including hotel staff, business owners, many different Marriott departments and other outside resources.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- Proficient in variety of software packages including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook), Critical Path, Smartsheet
- Independent self-starter with enthusiasm, motivation and the drive to generate new ideas and approaches to managing events financials
- Notable experience working in matrix organizations with senior leadership and the ability to work effectively in cross functional teams while managing up to the executive level
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines concurrently, effective use of time management and prioritization skills
Preferred
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in business related field
- Recent Property Luxury Experience
- Luxury Events and/or related Background and Knowledge
- Fluent in speaking and writing Spanish and English
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES - Make actionable recommendations to address business challenges and opportunities, enhancing business processes through technology.
- Manage hotel/event/project-specific sites on Teams and Smartsheet for sharing program-specific documents, processes, and financial information.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and implement strong internal controls related to technology.
- Document current processes and work on process improvement and standardization.
- Recognize and share opportunities to implement processes, procedures, and technology for increased team efficiency and enhance department communication effectiveness.
- Develop actionable recommendations to address business challenges and opportunities related to training and hotel opening processes.
- Assist to train hotel staff on brand culture, service standards, technology tools, and Marriott Standards of Operations.
- Review training outlines and expectations with ownership groups and General Managers before arriving on property.
- Maintain and improve training content, manuals, and procedures.
- Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other training materials.
- Provide on-site support for hotel openings based on specific brands.
- Work with a diverse group of individuals, including hotel staff, business owners, various Marriott departments, and outside resources.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
- Minimum of 50% travel required
The pay range for this position is $30.86 to $48.37 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
