About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead the daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue and profitability. As the leader of our culinary team, you will foster teamwork, creativity, and innovation, bringing unique menu concepts and new techniques to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily food production, preparation, and presentation for the restaurant, room service, concierge lounge, and banquets.
Develop and implement innovative menus based on food trends, regional tastes, and guest preferences.
Partner with the Director of Operations to support food & beverage performance goals.
Review staffing levels to ensure efficiency and collaborate with HR to recruit top culinary talent.
Train, develop, and motivate culinary associates to exceed guest expectations.
Manage budgets, forecasts, labor expenses, and food cost margins while maintaining high profitability.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Take an active role in annual budgeting and marketing initiatives, driving new concepts and strategies.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
What You Bring:
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or higher (Executive Chef experience preferred).
Red Seal Certification required; CCC designation is an asset.
Food Handling and Sanitation Certifications required; First Aid & CPR an asset.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Proven budgeting and financial management abilities.
Extensive knowledge of menu development, marketing, food cost control, and labor management.
Deep understanding of culinary techniques, food products, and sanitation best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
