Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, VCA hospitality management, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISION AND EFFICIENT COMPLETION OF WORK ORDERS
• Supervise maintenance associates, ensuring that all work orders are completed as quickly as possible and with the highest quality .
• Apply a proactive supervisory approach, anticipating problems and managing solutions before they impact hotel operations.
• Monitor the real-time status of work orders in Transcendent and GXP, ensuring no delays and escalating any issues immediately .
• Coordinate and allocate the necessary resources (personnel, tools, and materials) to ensure optimal response times and reduce equipment and room downtime .
• Report incomplete or unfulfilled work orders to the Chief Engineer, ensuring immediate corrective actions .
• Lead daily operational meetings with the maintenance team, reviewing the status of work orders and setting priorities for the day .
MANAGEMENT
• Manage or escalate any operational incidents to the Head Supervisor or Engineering Coordinator, ensuring a fast and effective response .
• Report structural or infrastructure issues to the Chief Engineer, ensuring timely resolution .
PREVENTIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
• Supervise the correct execution of the Preventive Maintenance Program (RPM), ensuring all inspections and maintenance tasks are performed according to Marriott standards .
• Proactively identify and manage potential maintenance issues before they become critical failures, reducing costs and repair times .
• Coordinate corrective repairs efficiently, ensuring fast and effective solutions while minimizing impact on hotel operations .
INVENTORY CONTROL AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
• Supervise and efficiently manage inventories of essential materials and spare parts, ensuring constant availability for maintenance operations .
• Request supplies in advance and follow up on procurement requests, avoiding delays in executing work orders .
• Ensure that tools and equipment are always in optimal condition and ready for use, reducing repair wait times .
SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE WITH STANDARDS
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety and risk prevention regulations, applying Marriott's environmental standards (MESH) .
• Supervise maintenance of security systems, fire alarms, and emergency equipment, ensuring their correct functionality .
• Apply the LEARN model in handling guest complaints or maintenance reports, ensuring quick responses and effective solutions .
• Ensure compliance with Marriott's service standards, guaranteeing a high level of quality and efficiency in engineering operations .
• Complete all mandatory training in MGS within the required timeframe and remain active on the platform, ensuring continuous professional development .
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel maintenance or facility management.
• Experience supervising teams and managing work orders.
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems (Transcendent and GXP).
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong commitment to operational efficiency and service standard compliance.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (Papiamento and Dutch are a plus).
