Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Perform regular painting touch-ups and repairs to walls, ceilings, doors, and furniture throughout the hotel premises to maintain a fresh and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
- Apply silicone sealant to seal gaps and prevent water leakage in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas prone to moisture.
- Conduct manual repairs and adjustments to furniture, fixtures, and equipment such as tightening screws, replacing handles, and fixing loose or broken parts.
- Inspect and maintain the integrity of tile grouting in bathrooms, kitchens, and other tiled areas to prevent water damage and ensure cleanliness.
- Clean and lubricate hinges, locks, and other mechanical components to ensure smooth operation and extend their lifespan.
- Conduct routine maintenance on wooden surfaces, including sanding, staining, and varnishing, to preserve their appearance and prevent deterioration.
- Repair or replace damaged upholstery on furniture, draperies, and bedding to maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere for guests.
- Promptly respond to electrical issues, such as malfunctioning outlets, flickering lights, or faulty appliances, to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction during their stay.
- Utilize effective communication skills to understand guest concerns and provide clear explanations of the steps taken to resolve electrical problems.
- Use basic electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, to measure voltage, continuity, and other parameters to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
- You are part of a bigger team, and the entire team is responsible for making the guests dream come true.
- Ensure you are following service standards and operating procedures from the beginning to the end of each process. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Showing guests our Whatever/Whenever service while they are with us, and connect with them to be able to personalize that service, creating memorable experiences.
- You will be on rotating shifts.
Communicating with your team and other departments is key. Couldn't live without them. - Use the GXP system (Maintenance order system) as a guideline for your day to day operation.
- Responsible for carrying out daily measurements and maintenance of the pool.
- Reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries in case you cannot fix them yourself.
- Respond promptly to requests from Engineering Coordinator, Chief Engineer and his assistant.
- Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, make eye contact, and use the guest's name when possible
- Make sure you put the guests at the center of everything we do. Any task that is not mentioned in this list but that may create an unforgettable experience for our guests is on your to do list.
Requirements: - Minimum of one-year experience in the same or similar role
- Fluency in English
- Work Permit for The Netherlands is required.
