Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Access Hospitality, Development & Consulting. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. Director of Finance is responsible for planning, directing and management of the provision of accurate, timely and objective financial data, from which management decisions can be made. He/she has to make sure that all financial records are kept inline with uniform system of accounts, as well as local requirements. Responsible for running the finance department's operations smoothly and conform the company and brand requirements, policies & procedures.
Preparation of annual business plan that is aligned with the business strategy, focusing on the execution of financial activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.
Compiling annual budget, comparing budgeted figures with actual numbers and guiding General Manager to prevent from any deviation in terms of profitability versus annual budget and recommending remedial action when and where necessary.
Developing means to improve profitability, including cost benefits as well as revenue maximization.
Implements a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks.
Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related area.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of related experience, including at least four years of managerial experience.
Other Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written English skills, must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations, to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Needs to have sound knowledge on business regulations, social security and payroll practices. Should have effective presentation skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SAP and other applicable computer systems. Must be able to define problems and to draw valid conclusions by effectively collecting and interpreting data. Should be an efficient team leader with good communication skills.
