Position Summary
Position Summary: As a Bar Supervisor at St Pancras, you responsible for advocating and delivering a five star food & beverage service to our guests and to your team members. You are responsible for supporting the wider F&B Management team with daily operational tasks and people management tasks. This includes absence management, performance reviews, recognition, training, hiring, scheduling, counselling and importantly, motivating and coaching team members. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, you will represent the floor in their absence and uphold expectations, reputation and service standards in all that you do. You will be required to support more senior operational tasks.

- As a Supervisor, every order taken, recommendation made, beverage pairing suggested, reflects your knowledge, experience and ultimately your own reputation as a senior bar professional.
- Every guest interaction should be personalised and special- you can make this happen by taking ownership and ensuring your team take ownership of each guest interaction, listening for cues and following up on cues to deliver a memorable experience.
- Ensuring the bar team collaboratively work with the wider F&B team and other departments within the hotel is key.
- Monitor daily associate's hours to ensure that those hours actually worked match forecasted payroll.
- Proactively contribute ideas and share creative solutions to make St Pancras the best possible workplace and destination of choice for our guests.
- Proactively problem solves and seeks to provide solutions along with any identified issues- whilst you may not be able to fix everything, coming with ideas as to how can help to speed things up!
- Product (food & beverage), menu, operational, food hygiene, service knowledge is essential and you are responsible for ensuring your team members also have this knowledge.
- You must be proactive in learning new bar trends, skills, beverage items and bringing ideas to the table to continue drive creativity on the bar.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Hygiene (sanitation, cleanliness)
- L2 Food Hygiene is essential this role. You should work towards achieving your NCPLH if you do not hold a certification already
- Attendance at Monthly departmental meetings and 1:1's is essential for you to share the knowledge the Bar team and wider F&B team need to know.
- Advocate and maintain an exceptionally high standard of five star luxury lifestyle service within The Hansom.
