Marriott International Appoints Daniel Burstein as General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown
KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 20: Recognized for his prolific leadership, Daniel Burstein is a personification of motivation, empowerment, and integrity. With 21 years of hospitality experience under his belt, the seasoned hotelier has been recently appointed as the General Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown.
Burstein first joined Marriott International in January 2014 as Director of Restaurants at Marriott Marquis City Center, Doha before quickly being promoted to Assistant Director of Food & Beverage the following year.
In his current role as General Manager, Burstein will be taking on an all-encompassing role, responsible for the Hotel’s overall performance in addition to spearheading all conversations. Renowned for his commitment levels, his operational expertise will holistically enhance all areas of management from ensuring team empowerment, implementing operational efficacy, and delivering exceptional service to achieve organizational goals and new financial heights.
The prestige-oriented leader has mentored teams to fully unleash their potential and hone their skills, ensuring that they are set up for success. Prior to his current appointment at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown, Burstein held the position of Director of Operations at Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi where he imparted the highest standards of guest service.
Throughout his tenure with Marriott International, Burstein steadily climbed the corporate ladder by leading through various positions, including Food & Beverage Manager, Director of Restaurants, Director of Food & Beverage, and Director of Operations before becoming General Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown.
Amongst many accolades throughout his career, Burstein - through his exemplary performance - was awarded the winner of the 2017 Marriott International SABRE Award Asia Pacific for Restaurateur of the Year during his two-year assignment at Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, Singapore.
Burstein, who believes in the importance of continuous learning, graduated from Hotel Management School MODUL with a Diploma in Hotel Management and is continually taking up professional courses up until today. Not many know, but he is also an avid traveler with a passion for travel photography. The man of many pursuits believes in exploring his passions to live life to its fullest – beginning with an exploration of the gastronomic scene in Kuala Lumpur.
