Thomas Kurian joins LEVA Hotels as its new Hotel Manager, making his move from a Hotel & Hotel Apartments brand in Dubai
28 December 2021, Dubai - LEVA Hotels, a dynamic lifestyle hotel brand in Dubai, is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Hotel Manager.
With 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Thomas Kurian is a passionate hotelier. Previously having served at reputable establishments ranging from the Byblos Hospitality in Dubai to Flora Hospitality and Al Khoory Hotels, Thomas has embarked on his latest role at LEVA Hotels.
With two certifications from Cornell University and decades of hands-on experience, Thomas brings a fleet of strategic skills across Sales, Marketing and Revenue to the table.
As a “big picture” thinker, confident communication and razor-sharp negotiation skills work alongside Thomas’ efficient work style and strong organizational skills to make him the ideal talent for his new role.
Inspired by Dubai’s forward-thinking approach and exciting professional opportunities, Thomas relocated to his “second home” in 1997.
He comments on the values that Dubai and the hospitality industry share, “Here, you’re exposed to a dynamic environment with new guests, new opportunities, and new lessons. The diverse culture in this city and industry adds to their overall appeal. It can, at times, feel competitive and challenging, but the accomplishments at the end make all our efforts worth it”.
As for his career highlights, Thomas looks back at when he created and managed a central Sales & Marketing team for five properties. Overcoming the initial challenges and striking the right balance between the revenue, sales, and operations were key to the hospitality group’s success.
In his new role, Thomas is keen to maximise the revived tourism and business sentiments across the UAE. With LEVA Hotel Mazaya Centre’s distinct position in the hospitality market, Thomas looks forward to delivering an on-brand experience to guests who have likely waited a long time to travel again.
When he isn’t at work, Thomas enjoys swimming and time with his family.
