Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is a welcoming place, where guests find uncomplicated experiences in a casual atmosphere. Our hotel has 330 rooms, 6 spacious meeting places and an inviting restaurant. We welcome guests from all over the world, whether for business, group travel or leisure.
As a Front Office Team Leader (Duty Manager), you will be an integral part of our dynamic Front Office team, collaborating with motivated, international colleagues. Your role will involve coaching and supporting the personal development of Front Office Hosts, fostering meaningful connections with both guests and team members. You will spend 70% of your time working hands-on with the team on the floor, ensuring smooth operations, and 30% handling administrative tasks. We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and proactive individual with a positive attitude, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and a strong capacity to work well under pressure.
Flexibility with working hours is essential, and you must be ready to step in and assist wherever needed to ensure the success of the team.
Responsibilities
• You are responsible for the shift and will support the team in solving any problems they may encounter during their shift.
• Handling all financial transactions, ensuring proper processing, and monitoring cashier accuracy. You will be responsible for verifying that cashiers' transactions are correct and compliant with company procedures, and ensuring payments are collected properly and in a timely manner.
• Approving team upsells
• Responding to and managing Hysat reviews
• Overseeing and managing stock levels to ensure availability and proper inventory control.
• Monitoring team interactions with guests, providing regular feedback to improve service quality.
• Ensuring the team follows Hyatt's brand standards and adheres to Hyatt policies and procedures.
• Managing scheduling and coverage when team members call in sick, ensuring smooth operations at all times.
• Carrying out onboarding for new team members, ensuring they are properly introduced to the role and company culture.
• Conducting probation, mid-year, and end-of-year performance reviews to assess individual and team development, providing constructive feedback and guidance for growth.
• You lead by example by creating connections with guests and leading the team's success by increasing guest satisfaction scores.
• You will coach the team by giving constructive feedback and personalized-on-the-job trainings.
• You ensure the team achieves their goals.
• You drive the team in taking ownership in complaint handling and assist where necessary.
• You inspire your team to create memorable experiences for our guests.
• As Teamleader you are responsible for internal communication such as briefings and ensuring all team members are up to date regarding any changes, promotions etc.
