Description
JOB SCOPE:
- Responsible for preparation and service of quality beverages for customers as well as cashiering functions.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Requisition of supplies to maintain parstock.
- Check all incoming stock against previousrequests.
- Stock up the shelves and counter area for the next service period
- Maintain clean and organized storagespaces.
- Ensure proper storage of all service items according to code and hotelpolicies.
- Replenish all service items: paper items, general supplies, beverage, food and stewardingsupplies.
- Ensure that coffee, liquor, soda and beer service is constantly replenished duringshift.
- Report to the manager on duty any equipment shortage or problems
- Load and unload dishwasher with glassware
- Fill the ice wells asneeded.
- Retrieve food fromkitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure that others can locate resources or products asneeded.
Service Task- Prepare quality, made-to-order gourmet coffees and otherbeverages.
- Ensure area is maintained neatly- both equipment and service area
- Cultivate an inviting, welcomingfacility.
- Clean and reset bar tables for service according to department manualstandard.
- Break down and set up bar area with all barsupplies.
- Refill all napkin dispensers, milk dispensers, sugar containers, and other take away mise-en-place forguests.
- Maintain knowledge of all house specifications for beverage recipes
- Prepare all drinks according to house recipes, utilizing proper tools andtechniques.
- Refill display case with appropriate food items when appropriate
- Prepare mise-en-place daily, each in accordance to the recipes and the direction provided by the chef andmanager.
- Ensure sufficient mise-en-place of his/her station for all beverage menuitems.
- Ensure proper food presentation by following set standards at alltimes.
- Workstation must be maintained clean at alltimes.
- Ensure sanitary measures are complied with at all times during preparation of all fooditems.
- Take orders from the guests at the bar and record them onchecks.
- Prepare all beverage and food orders forguests!
- Maintain bar area, to be wiped down andcleaned.
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Clean all glassware
- Maintain glassware dishwasher
- Follow all proper bar opening and closing procedures
- Bus tables, as needed
- Adhere to Thompson Central Park serving standards andpolicies.
- Other duties as assigned bySupervisor.
Banking Tasks- Acquire change from head cashier at the beginning of everyshift.
- Maintain bank according to cash handlingpolicy.
- Ring up the checks and post all checks in MICROS in accordance with cash handlingpolicy.
- Verifies guest room numbers before closing thechecks.
- Verifies mode of payment and receives clearance on credit card purchases before closing thecheck.
- Prepare and close the bill (check) for the bar guestsonly.
- Close bar
- Balance cash receipts at the end of shift and prepare the recap sheets according to hotel policy andstandard.
- Maintain key to securebox.
Training - Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and coaching asneeded.
- Attends training sessions, staff meetings, or other meetings asscheduled.

- Able to lift, push, pull, and carry in excess of 25pounds.
- Able to stand for a long period oftime.
- Able to go up and down stairs often andregularly.
