Description
We are looking for a Stewarding Manager to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.
Expected to open inQ3 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital - and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt's continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon.Located in the center of Lisbon's bustling Baixa district and situated along the main pedestrian road, Rua Augusta, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). This central building of the hotel will offer 170 guestrooms, with the surrounding four satellite buildings of the hotel offering guests various private suites to choose from. This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.
About the role
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Stewarding Manager is responsible to manage the Stewarding Department as an efficient, and productive cost Centre, by maintaining an organized and clean back-of-house area in Food and Beverage and by providing all kitchens, outlets and banquets with clean operating equipment, based on expected business levels. Communicates with culinary and front of house leaders and follow up with team solutions for issues. Prepares and oversees staff cleaning schedules. Trains all employees and ensures all health regulations are maintained. Monitor and document employee performance
Qualifications
Qualifications
Ideally with a relevant degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management. Minimum 2 years' work experience as Stewarding Manager or Assistant Manager in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards. A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Refined communication skills. Strong leadership skills are highly recommended
