Description
You will be responsible for overseeing the wok kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and consistency in line with Hyatt standards. You will supervise and guide the wok station team, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and contribute to menu development. Prepare and cook using wok techniques, include stir-fry, deep-fry, and saute. Monitor ingredient inventory, manage portion control and reduce food waste.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional kitchen experience with at least 2 years in a similar leadership role.
• Expertise in wok cooking techniques and Chinese cuisine.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
