The Role
The Senior Manager, Corporate Reputation Communications is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies to promote and protect Hyatt's corporate reputation.
The individual in this position will be a media relations expert with extensive relationships and knowledge across the most influential business publications and multimedia channels (print and online news, broadcast television, newsletters, podcasts, substacks, etc.). The individual will have a pulse on the most influential voices and thought leadership platforms to promote Hyatt's reputation as a purpose-driven industry leader. The individual will also be versed in issues and crisis communications and prepared for rapid response to issues that threaten to damage Hyatt's corporate reputation.
Reporting to the AVP, Global Corporate & Owner Communications, the Senior Manager will lead and supervise a direct report at the Manager level. The individual will provide strategic communication counsel to business partners, align closely with cross-functional teams including Commercial Services, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and more, provide leadership to team members, and act as a liaison for Brand Communications colleagues across Hyatt's portfolios and global regions.
Focus areas will include:
• Executive Visibility & Business Media Relations
o Maintaining and building key media relationships that result in media coverage across traditional and new formats/outlets
o Identifying and supporting impactful speaking engagements
o Enhancing online presence for executives
o Developing talking points and conducting prep sessions with executives including members of the C-suite
o Liaising with Investor Relations on business storytelling opportunities
• Promoting Corporate Reputation
o Developing cross-stakeholder communications strategies for external amplification in line with Hyatt's purpose of care
o Providing strategic counsel on World of Care storytelling and reporting, including story mining and distilling complex topics into digestible messages and narratives
o Measuring and analyzing storytelling impact and using insights to inform ongoing communication strategies
• Issues Management
o Participating in real-time issues and crisis response management
o Exhibiting rapid-response best practices
o Monitoring industry landscape for potential issues and serving as a communications partner to subject matter experts
Qualifications
Experience Required:
•10+ years in corporate communications (or public affairs-related positions) experience with corporate reputation and issues/crisis communications required.
•Degree in marketing, PR, communications, journalism, or related field of study
•Proven experience collaborating effectively with global and cross-functional partners, and prioritizing the most urgent and important business needs
•Extremely sound, consistent judgment
•Ability and willingness to operate in a fast-paced, complex corporate environment
•Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities to meet changing needs to meet deadlines and produce deliverables
•Strategic thinker with excellent listening skills
•Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
•High degree of personal and professional savvy and experience to inspire confidence at all levels of the organization
•Ability to lead through consensus, strong mentoring orientation
•Strong empathetic orientation and high level of personal commitment/caring, unquestionable integrity
•Proficient, solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•Proactive, creative problem solver
•Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
•Ability to travel globally as required (approximately 10-25%)
Experience Preferred:
•Travel/tourism/hospitality experience a strong plus

The salary range for this position is $108,800 to $140,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, etc.
The final salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
