As a member of this team, you will be responsible for working alongside and assisting the Coastal and Mountain State BDMs, representing and selling Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, United Vacations, Southwest Vacations, and Blue Sky Tours. Your specific focus will be to assist the BDM team with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: following up on escalation issues, running reports and providing data analysis to help create strategy, tracking activities and updating cases in Salesforce, drafting email content for BDM emails, and communicating with agencies while BDM is on the road. You'll assist in developing strong agency relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships with the objective of growing incremental revenue and profitability by providing superb customer service and communication.You will think like a BDM and take a consultative selling approach when analyzing data to identify where, and how we can gain share shift opportunities from our competition, leverage preferred relationships and follow up to execute engagement plans to grow incremental revenue. This role will take responsibility, alongside the BDM, to work as a team and find strategic ways to identify opportunity, overcome obstacles to secure business, and align to growth strategies company wide. The Sales Support Specialists ability to work closely with the BDM, learn and understand the territories, and identify ways to create efficiency for the BDM, the agency, and the company will be key to this role's success.
Essential Functions:
- Develop a strategic alliance with the BDMs in the Mountain and Coastal States to learn and understand the region.
- Work with BDMs to create efficiency in process and communication to the region.
- When assisting in overcoming obstacles and escalations, Utilize a consultative sales approach to communicate effectively with the agency and support teams of ALG Vacations and ensure resolution.
- Analyze data to help Gain revenue commitments with travel agencies for the appropriate brand(s). Assist in Executing an implementation plan with agencies to realize committed revenue. Assist in Maintaining engagement plans for all opportunity accounts.
- Offer input in conversations to create strategic ways to grow engagement and build trust in an effort to shift business to ALG Vacations.
- Work as an out of office contact where needed so BDMs can focus on training and development.
- Represent ALG Vacations at events where needed (limited) to cultivate new business opportunities and gain new revenue commitments.
- Work with BDMs to achieve sales targets by creating efficiency in managing the territory effectively and growing the accounts with the biggest opportunities.
- Offer input and help in creating brand loyalty through the use of key tools such as joint marketing plans, agency education, provide marketing tools to agents, product differentiation, and value proposition of booking brand. Document all sales activity in reporting tool.
- Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide feedback in reporting and in meetings.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
- Attend Weekly team calls with Director designed to make a strategic impact on growth and development of the team and accounts.
- Work alongside Regional Director to ensure key messages are being communicated and shared with the accounts in any content you help create for the team in emails on their behalf.
- Attend roadmap calls with director weekly to focus on personal strategic development for future growth.

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with degrees in business, marketing, communications or finance preferred or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of related experience in sales or the travel industry.
- Travel industry knowledge or experience preferred but will consider other candidates with transferable sales background.
- MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Smartsheet.
- SalesForce
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally by plane and car - 10%
- Data Analytics - must be able to understand reports and be able to interpret data to provide effective solutions.
- Must have the ability to telecommute and be comfortable working independently.
- Sales and customer service skills - necessary to be able to provide the best experience for advisors.

The salary range for this position is an hourly rate of $21.15-$26.45.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
