Currently, we are seeking an experiencedRevenue Analystto join Park Hyatt Saigon to join and continue with us in our significant journey.
Main Duties
Administration
- Assists in the preparation and update of the Departmental Operations Manuals.
- Attends regular departmental communications meetings and ensure departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.
Customer Service- Handles guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Marketing- Assists with inventory and forecasting methods of both FIT and group business, to ensure optimal strategies and controls are in place to minimise displacement and maximise total hotel revenues.
- Monitors and provides feedback on the hotel's effective use of Hyatt systems, tools and procedures in areas of business intelligence, revenue management, inventory management and dynamic pricing to maximise Hyatt's competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Participates actively in Monthly Marketing Meetings - the forum to discuss the hotel's future sales and marketing strategy addressing the critical issues and evaluate past strategy. Prepare and present relevant reports and analysis for the Meeting.
- Manages the re-engineering and re-enforcement of business processes from an overall perspective of data cleanliness and data integrity.
Business Intelligence- Actively participates in the formulation and submission of the annual business plan.
- Provides the hotel Sales and Marketing Team with business intelligence by effectively utilising and maintaining the tools, including Cognos, Marketing Portal, IDeaS, Reserve, Delphi, Competitive Intelligence, Travelclick products and Marketing Knowledgebase
- Ensures the accuracy and validity of the data presented in the Cognos cubes.
- Provides the hotel with external market intelligence using tools such as Competitive Intelligence, Rate View / Phaser, Hotelbenchmark.com, access to a Global Distribution System (i.e. Gallileo Focalpoint / MySabre), Internet web sties and corporate resources.
- Assists the Director of Marketing / Sales in the strategic direction of the Sales team by assisting the sales managers with developing their personal business plans, corporate account evaluation and classification (key account management) as well as ensuring monthly reporting needs are met.
- Ensures the guidelines for data collection, data input, data cleaning and data usage are being followed throughout the hotel and conduct regular training to the relevant departments.
- Conducts regular training to Front Office, Sales and Marketing, Reservations on the definition of the marketing standard codes i.e. Purpose of Visit, MIREPs, Rate Markets etc. and their importance in marketing analysis.
- Offers quantitative information to Marketing Communications regarding the targeted market's size, yield, booking, past promotion results, etc, for planning and ROI calculation.
- Conducts training with Front Office employees to ensure correct procedures are in place at check in and check out to ensure the availability and validity of data for analysis.
Revenue Management / Pricing and Distribution - Prepares weekly and monthly rooms occupancy and average rate forecast through the use of Business Intelligence and Revenue Management applications (IDeaS software where available).
- Ensures correct inventory controls are in place for FIT / Group and for the hotel as a whole.
- Participates actively in Weekly Yield Meeting. Prepares and presents the relevant reports for the Meeting.
- Assists the Director of Marketing / Sales to monitor and constantly adapt pricing strategies in the context of competitor strategies and market fluctuations.
- Liaises with Marketing Communications Manager in ensuring room rate and special offers information on the Hyatt.com is updated. Monitors all distribution channels to ensure rate integrity and information is updated.
Technical - Be familiar with the technical set up of the local Cognos solution, general dataflow, database structure and monthly extract procedure.
- Be familiar with the escalation procedure in case of support issues with the local Cognos solution.
- Be familiar with the technical set up for all tools including revenue management system (where available) used throughout the strategic marketing process.
PersonnelSupports the implementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt's Values and Culture Characteristics.
Participates in annual Performance Development Discussions and personally follow through on agreed professional development goals.
Other Duties- Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
- Maintains strong, professional relationships with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels and other organisations.
- Exercises responsible management and behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team and Hyatt International.
- Responds to changes in the Marketing function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
- Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
- Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications - Ideally with a university degree in Strategic Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism management.
- Minimum 2 years work experience as Revenue Analyst, Marketing Manager, Marketing Analyst.
- Strategic orientation, as well as good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Work experience in a luxury hotel or in an international hotel chain
- Great problem solving, organizational, analytical, and coordinating abilities
- Excellent communication skills and great interpersonal skills
