Description
The primary purpose of this position is to develop and maintain analytical applications and server database tools that hotel RM personnel need. The Analysist will receive direct access to data in various databases used by RM, including: Hyatt PrO/IDeaS G3 RMS, Opera, Reserve, Envision, etc. and generate an analysis of our business that is not currently available. Additionally the position will contribute to market intelligence studies by providing a specific focus on top line revenue generation. What works, what doesn't and why. The position will work with Director of Revenue and Area General Manager to lead departmental efforts for critical strategic analysis which will define pricing policies and distribution management techniques used by hotels. He/she will oversee departmental special projects, interface with external departments to gain access to key systems and data, and support system enhancement requests. TheRevenue Analysis will provide direct property support for corporate strategies with an ongoing goal of streamlining and simplifying reporting and analysis activities. Duties also include participation in and resolution of revenue management business process and technical discussions and topics. Researching and presenting recommendations regarding RM services. Eventually theRevenue Analysis will assist in the design and delivery of key Sales technology reports and tools by optimizing data management and report generation techniques and processes.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
• Assisting external departments in defining and delivering advanced data analysis to strengthen business decision making processes
• Reviewing and recommending additions and changes to key departmental measurements and calculations
• Developing tracking and auditing processes to ensure compliance to departmental standards and goals
• Designing, preparing, and delivering materials and presentations on behalf of Revenue Management
