The Role
The Regional Manager of Hotel Analytics will be responsible for supporting the financial and operational performance of our hotels within a designated region (s). In this role, you will analyze extensive data sets to derive meaningful insights, propose strategies for improvement, and effectively communicate these plans to a wide range of stakeholders. You will be a key liaison for the SVP/VP of Field Operations, collaborating with field and corporate teams to drive business goals and enhance performance across the hotel properties.
Position Responsibilities
•Interpret Key Financial and Operating Performance Indicators, financial statements, and hotel reports to generate actionable insights
•Perform monthly analyses of each hotel's financial and operational results to identify trends, opportunities, and strategies for maximizing financial performance and return on investment
•Communicate financial results and performance opportunities clearly and effectively to regional, corporate teams, and ownership/operator groups as needed
•Conduct ad hoc analysis and research to support organizational inquiries and decision-making
•Collaborate with hotel and regional teams to establish and achieve individual and corporate-driven business goals
•Work as a liaison between several above-property and corporate groups including Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, Events, Human Resources, Risk, Legal, and Technology, to ensure all are aligned.
•Develop and deliver training materials and tools to support the enhancement of hotel team performance and business goals
•Proactively engage with hotel leadership to support operational excellence, leveraging data to pinpoint areas for operational enhancements and efficiency gains
•Lead and support initiatives that enhance financial management, increase productivity and improve customer experiences across the portfolio
•Provide guidance and support to hotel Leadership Committee members, particularly General Managers, as a liaison for the SVP/VP of Field Operations
•Assist in preparing the SVP/VP of Field Operations for hotel site visits with a special focus on financial performance, guest satisfaction, and business goals
•Support annual regional budget process through analysis of prepared budgets, distributing regional expectations and timelines, preparation of consolidated results for SVP/VP of Field Operations and regional leadership team, as well as coordination of Senior Leadership review meeting materials
•Find ways to improve processes within own work and encourage the same within the assigned Region(s) and team of Regional Managers of Hotel Analytics
•Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values
Qualifications
Experience Required:
• 5+ years of progressive Hotel Operational or Finance experience
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality (preferred)
•Strong financial systems experience including Hyperion/Essbase and Excel advanced proficiency are critical
•Strong PC skills with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
