The Purchasing Supervisor position is a unique opportunity to join a growing company in a strategic role that assists the overall operation.

The Storeroom Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Director with managing inventory on a daily and weekly basis. The right individual will also assist with month end inventories, receiving deliveries, maintaining the storerooms and shipping of packages.

Duties also include daily tracking of all F&B credits, working with vendors, and Accounts Payable. This person must be able to lift a moderate to heavy weight and have basic communication skills.

The right candidate for this position will be organized, detail oriented, possess strong systems knowledge and feel comfortable interacting with hotel leaders and outside vendors on a regular basis. This person will also be self-motivated, will take initiative to handle projects, and must have the ability to lead the department in the absence of the Purchasing Director.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Receiving of Perishable and Non-Perishable Food and Beverage products
• Ensure that products received, match Purchase Orders.
• Note any discrepancies and refuse any unacceptable items.
• Ensure food products meet quality and freshness standards.
• Receiving all incoming non-food and beverage items, pulling packing slips and completing necessary receiving documents.
• Placing orders for all food, beverage, and paper items as needed via procurement system
• Monitoring and maintaining food and beverage cost goals throughout the month
• Fulfilling food and beverage requisitions on a daily basis.
• Performing Storeroom inventories in order to maintain par levels and ensuring that storeroom is kept clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel purchasing/storeroom experience preferred.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Computer/Technology/Internet savvy - Must be comfortable working with PO systems such as Birchstreet
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Must be able to lift a moderate to heavy weight.
