As the Lead Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional therapeutic massage services to our guests while leading and mentoring a team of massage therapists. You will play a vital role in delivering a memorable, luxury wellness experience, ensuring that every guest enjoys a relaxing and rejuvenating treatment in our serene spa environment.
Some additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Massage Therapy Services:
• Perform a wide range of massage therapies, and other specialized treatments to meet the needs of resort guests.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and ensure guests feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for during each session.
• Team Leadership and Mentoring:
• Lead a team of massage therapists, ensuring consistent high-quality services and adherence to spa protocols.
• Serve as a mentor and role model, offering guidance and feedback to spa staff to improve their skills and performance.
• Provide direction and training on massage techniques, customer service, and resort spa policies.
• Foster a positive and supportive team environment, encouraging professional growth and collaboration.
• Active participant with spa leadership in the recruiting, interviewing and onboarding of new massage therapists.
• Guest Experience:
• Create and maintain strong relationships with guests and colleagues, ensuring their expectations are met and/or exceeded.
• Support leadership by communicating necessary guest feedback and special requests, ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Promote the benefits of massage therapy and additional spa services to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat business.
• Operational Efficiency & Compliance:
• Ensure that all team members adhere to spa policies, health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Conduct regular audits to assess the consistency of staff performance and adherence to operational guidelines.
• Provide guidance on effective time management, scheduling, and teamwork to optimize spa operations.
• Professional Development and Training:
• Stay current with trends and innovations in massage therapy and resort spa services.
• Seek self-development and growth opportunities, by attending training sessions and industry coursework to refine techniques and maintain relevant certifications.
• Actively participate in team meetings to help improve overall service offerings and guest and colleague satisfaction.
• Promote Spa and Resort Services:
• Represent the resort with professionalism and integrity, ensuring that all guests have a luxury experience.
• Assist in developing new treatments and experiences to attract guests and enhance the spa's offerings.
• Build on opportunities to cross-promote spa retail products to guests at completion of service.
Qualifications
