The Houseperson - Events plays a crucial role in the seamless execution of events by setting up and breaking down meeting spaces. This position requires the arrangement of tables, chairs, and water service, among other tasks necessary for event preparation and closure. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, ideal for someone who excels in logistics and physical tasks.
Responsibilities
• Set up meeting rooms according to event specifications, arranging tables, chairs, and other equipment as required.
• Break down meeting spaces at the conclusion of events, ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting any damages or shortages to management.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of event spaces, storage areas, and loading docks.
• Work closely with the events and banquet teams to meet the needs of the event and ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Qualifications - External
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests, team members, and management.
• Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in events, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
