Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
Hourly Rate: $18.50 per hour
Position Overview: TheHousekeepingSupervisor is an entry-level leadership position in the department and can be ideal for someone with the desire to grow into management. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: creating and distributing daily tasks to the team, training and coaching, payroll, scheduling, reviewing guest surveys and other metrics, inventory, working with guests on lost and found items, and verifying completion of work at the end of the day. This person will have daily items to complete as well as projects and will follow up on needs of theHousekeepingteam. The Supervisor must have the flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings, any day of the week including on weekends and holidays.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Inspects Guest rooms, guest areas, employee areas, and assess compliance with all established standards as they relate to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Assist Executive Housekeeper with the scheduling of staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Assist in implementing departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures and strategies
- Assist in training and supervisingHousekeepingstaff
- Inspect all guest rooms and ensure each passes Bunkhouse standards
- Implement standards and procedures to consistently conduct an accurate inventory
- Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding lodging facilities
- Ensure open lines of communication with staff, all departments and upper management at all times via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the hotel are met
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property
- Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
- Attend relevant meetings
Qualifications ****Bilingual Preferred (Spanish & English)***- Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).College Degree preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak the primary language(s) of the workplace
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff
- Ability to create documents in Excel and Word
- Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. Property Management System)
- Ability to apply concepts of math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and algebra, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
