Description
At Spruce Peak we have something special. As the premier Vermont mountain community, we are surrounded by the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. The Lodge and Club are slopeside at Stowe Resort; gorgeous for year-round adventures, escapes, destination weddings, and more. We take pride in our teamwork, high standards, and diversity. It's fitting that we are located at the pinnacle of Vermont!
The Club at Spruce Peak manages two golf courses, The Mountain Course and Stowe Country Club (SCC). The Mountain Course is a Bob Cupp design that sits at the base of Spruce Peak and SCC occupies the former site of a turn of the century dairy farm with rolling terrain perfect for a unique Vermont golf experience. SCC is entering the second year of an extensive two-year renovation led by world-renown golf course architect Beau Welling and his team. An overall master plan has been developed to include the construction of a new residential development and clubhouse along with amenities such as a redesigned practice facility, racquet sports, aquatics. The aim of this plan is to create a mountain-based community that will rival the best in the country. The front nine was completed with overwhelming success in the summer of 2024 and the back nine will undergo renovations this summer. SCC will operate as a 9-hole facility for the 2025 golf season. We take pride in our positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork, safety, diversity, superior customer service and fun.
We are seeking a solid leader with proven management, organizational and administrative experience to be our next Head Golf Professional (HP). The HP will be responsible for selling and promoting the products and services of the golf club in the most professional manner while building upon and improving the strong golf culture and traditions that are already in place. The qualified candidate will have a strong customer service background and be visible, outgoing, and engaged. The membership model at SCC is on a new trajectory of transitioning into a private club and it will be the responsibility of the HP and their staff to ensure all members and guests have an unforgettable golf experience. This is a management level position directly supporting the Director of Golf and can be seasonal or year-round.
