Front Office Supervisor should have strong leadership, communication and relationship skills. This role is expected to support the management team by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities. This role leads other associates by coaching and giving direction. Front Office Supervisor lead the Front Office Hosts who are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on cultivating the guest experience. Other duties may include but not limited to training, scheduling, processing third-party payment and responding to guest inquires and feedback. Front Office Supervisor is responsible for leading the front desk operation, which includes service recovery & handling guest concerns, colleague coaching, and being prepared to assist in the unlikely event of an emergency. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager, Front Office Supervisor is expected to take ownership over the front desk department and its overall performance.
General duties:
• Ensure all guest requests are responded to in a timely manner. Set and monitor goals for guest responsiveness.
• Develop, update, and maintain all guest-experience related SOPs and policies, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with brand standards
• Conduct property tours as requested.
• Conduct themselves as Manager on Duty in the absence of Front Office senior leadership.
• Ensure guest profile information is being updated properly with guest data, preferences, stay history, and incidents/positive feedback in all relevant operating systems. Ensure team is merging profiles regularly in Opera PMS.
• Assist with the timely responses to all positive and negative guest feedback, whether reported in-person or by phone, email, guest survey, or online review (including but not limited to Trip Advisor, Yelp, Google, OTA site reviews).
• Document any guest situations which require action by another department and follow up as needed.

This is a nonexempt (hourly) role. The budgeted rate for this role is $24.00.This is the annual hourly rate for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individua hourly rates will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.
