Supervisors possess strong leadership, communication and relationship skills. They are expected to support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities. This role leads other associates by coaching, giving direction and may include training, scheduling, payroll and interviewing.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will supervise all service functions within the Food & Beverage Department, to include, but not limited to:
• Market Street Bar
• Market Street Kitchen
• Room Service
• Lobby Market
• Banquets
The position will require a flexible schedule to work primarily opposite shifts of the Food & Beverage Manager. The Food & Beverage Supervisor should expect to work primarily evening shifts, including most Friday and Saturday nights. This position will consist of mainly floor supervision and oversight of service staff with minimal administrative duties (30-60 minutes of office time per shift). The Food & Beverage Supervisor will be expected to act as a support to the service staff including, but not limited to, serving guests, resolving guest concerns, assisting in tip allocation, assisting in cleaning, assistingin setup and prep work, covering subordinate shifts as necessary, assisting in closing duties, posting revenues accurately, reporting tips accurately.
Additional and peripheral duties will include acting as manager on duty for the entire property when other managers are not on duty, overseeingand leading kitchen staff in the absence of a kitchen leader, and any other reasonable request from a superior.
