The Finance Clerk isresponsible for daily accounting administrative duties and supports the Director of Finance/Assistant Director of Finance and Chief Accountant/Staff Accountant. This person may be asked to assist with additional projects as the need arises.
This role will also be responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payablesas well as track purchase orders.They will also support the Director of Finance with processing bill backs, coordinating with vendors, account receivables, assisting with month-end duties, and general ledger reconciliation. Duties include but are not limited to 3rdparty billing, journal entry upload, weekly account reconciliation, event billing and various month end close processes. This person may be asked to assist with additional projects as the need arises.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
• Respond to inquiries from guests, clients, and vendors.Follow up on requests to ensure guest satisfaction and respond diligently to guests, coworkers and member requests.
• Support Chief Accountant/Staff Accountant with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Income Journals, and General Cashier tasks.
• Assist with journal entries and execute month-end closing checklist.
• Assist with reporting and preparation of account reconciliations.
• Review, investigate, and analyze General Ledger variances.
• Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required.
• Prepare journal entries with adequate supporting documentation and backup.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards to ensure that those entries are meeting audit requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by accounting management.

Wage Information:
The hourly range for this position is $20.29 to $25.35. Decisions regarding individual wages will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.
Qualifications
• Hospitality or Accounting degree preferred
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and financial accounting system use (Oracle Preferred)
• Prior Accounting experience or Hospitality experience preferred
