Description
As an Event Sales Manager - Weddings & Social, you will be responsible for generating revenue by selling and coordinating weddings and social events. This roles involves building client relationships, creating customized event experiences and ensuring seamless execution in collaboration with internal departments. The manager will drive sales through proactive outreach, exceptional customer service and a deep understanding of client needs. Your key responsibilities to solicit, negotiate, secure wedding and social event bookings to achieve revenue targets, build and maintain relationships with clients, wedding planners and vendors, conduct site visits, presentations and menu tastings to showcase the hotel's offerings, customize event proposals, contracts, pricing based on client needs, work closely with banquet, catering and operations teams to ensure flawless event execution, manage event logistics, timelines and post-event follow up for client satisfaction, attend networking events, bridal shows and social industry functions to generate leads.
Qualifications
•Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration.
•A minimum of 3 years in event planning or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
•Strong negotiation, excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
•Ability to multitask, work flexible hours including weekends and attention to detail.
