Description
The Hyatt Centric Key West is seeking an Event Services Assistant Manager to join our amazing team. The Hyatt Centric is centrally located within Old Town and a short stroll to the lively Duval Street. Our tranquil waterfront resort is the starting point for the different adventures Key West offers.
The Event Services (Banquet) Assistant Manager is responsible for oversight of day-to-day processes and colleagues of the hotel's Event Services team. Duties will include but are not limited to resolving guest/client concerns, scheduling & Dimensions, coaching and counseling, maintaining department standards, staff development, interviewing/hiring, payroll and supporting the team members within these respective areas. The Event Services Assistant Manager is also responsible for maximizing banquet revenue, purchasing banquet food and beverage, controlling expenses, and driving the highest level of customer service and scores. This individual will conduct department meetings and pre-shifts to maintain open communication with colleagues. This also includes working and communicating closely with all hotel departments and ensuring a successful and effective event resulting in a positive guest experience.
A flexible schedule is required including the ability to work weekends and holidays and varied weekly schedules. Additional duties will include but are not limited to leading shifts in the Food and Beverage Outlets, creating marketing content, and assisting the Sales and Events team as needed.

Qualifications
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
2 years previous experience in Food and Beverage or Banquets preferred
Effective in providing exceptional customer service
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Extremely detail oriented and organized
Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Proficient in computer skills
