Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel. This role involves supervising a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring all hotel facilities and equipment are well-maintained, and addressing maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including assigning tasks and scheduling shifts.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to maintenance technicians to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
• Perform and oversee repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other hotel equipment.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a manner that minimizes disruption to guests.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Assist in ordering and restocking materials as needed to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
• Assist in coordinating with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
• Oversee contractor work to ensure quality and adherence to hotel standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Provide regular updates and reports on maintenance activities to the Maintenance Manager.
• Be available to respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours and on weekends.
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures for maintenance-related incidents.
• Maintaining the pool pump and filters
• Practicing safe chemical handling
• Maintaining adequate stock of pool chemicals
• Keeping the pool free of debris
• Maintaining proper chemical balance
• Ensure the upkeep of all safety equipment related to the pool (emergency flotation)
Qualifications
• 2 years of experience in maintenance management, maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and squat frequently.
