Description
As the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for:
• Overseeing and coordinating all activities within the Engineering department.
• Monitoring energy consumption and ensuring the implementation of energy-saving procedures.
• Supervising and collaborating with all Engineering service providers and suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Developing and supervising the execution of the preventive maintenance schedule to minimize guest complaints and maintain equipment performance.
• Managing and overseeing projects related to construction management, including renovation works, snagging, and resolution of construction-related deficiencies.
• Leading projects related to renewable energy.
• Ensure the daily follow-up of client requests and ensure their prompt and efficient resolution.
• Ensuring optimal management of equipment and infrastructure to guarantee the comfort and safety of guests and staff.
• Enforcing the group's standards and procedures.
• Actively participating in hotel opening and pre-opening projects, leveraging your hospitality expertise.
• Developing strategies to optimize energy efficiency and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Managing and motivating a high-performing engineering team.
• Actively adhering to Hyatt Group's standards and regulations.
• Providing Engineering training to department staff and contributing to the internal CHS-related project.
• Preparing detailed and structured reports on the progress of engineering projects within the establishment, to be shared with both the hotel's general management and the group's management.
Qualifications
• Proven experience of 10 years in a similar position, ideally in luxury hospitality.
• Demonstrated expertise in construction management and handling complex technical projects.
• Significant experience in hotel openings and pre-openings.
• Strong knowledge of current engineering standards and regulations, as well as technical management software.
• Leadership, discipline, and excellent organizational skills.
• Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Fluency in French and a good command of English are essential.
