What does the role entail?
As a key member of theExecutive Committee, theDirector of Sales and Marketingis a highly visible leadership role with direct exposure to senior and corporate leadership. This position drives revenue growth and oversees the resort'ssales, marketing, and business development strategiesto enhance market presence and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and executestrategic sales and marketing plansto achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
• Oversee theSales and Marketing Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, and business plan development.
• Lead and mentor the sales team, including managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff, ensuring strong performance and professional growth.
• Drive group and transient sales through effectiveaccount management, retention, reactivation, and acquisition strategies.
• Collaborate with theManaging Director and Regional Vice President of Salesto align sales efforts with business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with ownership, corporate leadership, and key stakeholders to support business growth.
• Oversee advertising, branding, and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with Hyatt's brand standards and the resort's positioning.
• Analyze market trends and competitor performance to identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
• Proven leadership experiencein sales and marketing, preferably in theluxury resort or hospitality industry.
• Strong financial acumen with experience inbudgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Exceptionalcommunication and organizational skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership and ownership.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and sales pipeline management.
• Proficiency insales technology platformsand CRM systems.
• Ability toinspire, train, and developa high-performing sales team.
