As a member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Operations is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. The Director of Operations will oversee the entire Food & Beverage division as well as the following Rooms departments at the hotel; Front Office, Guest Services, and Housekeeping. Duties will include training and coaching of direct reports, executing necessary decisions to drive Hyatt's purpose and achieve Hyatt's goal of becoming the most preferred hospitality brand in our local market. This individual will have the ability to ensure the hotel's operations meet brand standards while building colleague engagement, understanding guests' needs and maximizing hotel revenue.
The Director of Operations will report directly to the General Manager on all day-to-day operational matters. He or she will be responsible for managing the efficient and smooth running of specific areas within the Rooms division as well as the Food and Beverage division while ensuring all Hyatt Hotels Corporation initiatives, materials and policies are introduced, implemented and maintained. In addition, the Director of Operations will be responsible for achieving the key objectives as directed by the Corporate and Functional Strategies and in accordance with Hyatt Hotels Corporation Centric Brand Standards while meeting all stakeholders' expectations. Prepares revenue & occupancy forecasting & monitors labor expenses through schedule approval process.
Duties include:
• Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the operations in the front and back of the house
• Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
• Supervise all Operations Departments
• Ability to assimilate operational statistics quickly and see how they can be used to enhance position of property
• Experience developing standards and operating procedures
• Participate in MOD program
• Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
The salary range for this role is $140,600-$179,200. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
• 6 years or more of progressive hotel Rooms experience (typically with Hyatt)
• Progressive leadership responsibilities within Food and Beverage
• Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
• Maintain communications with Corporate Staff
• Previous experience leading in a union environment strongly preferred
