The Role
The Director, Central Services, Business Performance will leverage data to measure Central Services performance, efficiencies, and opportunities. The position is responsible for being a knowledge analyst - focused on analyzing various types of information, in such areas as Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Digital to make practical, data-driven business recommendations. Their analysis work will inform Central Services leaders about the state of the business and help them make knowledgeable decisions. It will also fuel strategy and actions that allow the Central Services organization to gain efficiencies, improve performance, and expand the program's footprint. The role will require collaboration across all levels of Hyatt's Commercial strategy. This person will be responsible for reporting, analytics, and the SIP compensation process for the Central Services organization.
They will have a strong technical background and exhibit an understanding of how database(s) work. The Director, Central Services, Business Performance possesses an inquisitive mind, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to translate data with visual representation so it's easily understandable to broader and non-technical team members.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets. Interpersonal and presentation skills are of utmost importance for this position.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
•A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
•Refined verbal and written communication skills
•Strong organization and presentation skills
•5+ years of progressive Hotel Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management or Finance experience
•Previous experience in multiple positions within 1 or more Commercial Services functions would be preferred but not required
•Previous experience working with hotel databases
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets
•Demonstrates ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds
• Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills, an effective trainer with the ability to facilitate at all levels
•Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
•Clear analytical skills
•Ability to travel as required on a regional basis - 10-15%
Experience Preferred:
•Bachelor's degree
•High Proficiency in all Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
•Proficiency with Hyatt (or comparable) financial and reporting applications
•Proficiency with data visualization applications (Tableau, Thoughtspot, or comparable)
•Proficiency with SQL and database architecture preferred, but not required

The salary range for this position is $131,300 to $170,00. This position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
