Your Role
We are looking for a Cluster Training & Development Manager to lead and coordinate the training efforts across our eight hotels in the Canary Islands. This dynamic role is designed for someone who is passionate about operational development and service excellence, with a deep commitment to colleague growth.
The role involves regular travel across the Canary Islands to ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery and alignment with Hyatt's standards. You will report to the Inclusive Portfolio Training & Development Manager for the EAME Region, based at the Palma Corporate Offices, while working in close partnership with the Leadership Committees at each hotel as well as the Area HRBP. In this role, you'll benefit from ongoing guidance, resources, and strategic support from the EAME regional training team.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Implementation
• Implement a cohesive training strategy across all 8 properties, aligned with Hyatt's global and regional frameworks.
• Tailor training initiatives to reflect the specific operational needs and service goals of each hotel.
• Operational & Service Development
• Support colleagues in delivering exceptional guest experiences through service-focused and operational training.
• Create training solutions that empower teams to take ownership of their performance and growth.
Needs Analysis
• Partner with the Area HRBP teams and department heads at each hotel to assess training needs regularly.
• Identify skills gaps and opportunities to support both individual and team development.
Program Design & Facilitation
• Deliver onboarding, service, and skill-based training sessions across all properties.
• Coach and develop departmental trainers and supervisors to strengthen in-house training capabilities.
• Ensure a consistent training experience that reflects Hyatt's culture and service standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Build strong relationships with hotel leadership teams to become a trusted advisor on all training-related matters.
• Actively contribute to the regional Hyatt training community and share best practices across the hotels.
Impact Measurement
• Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and guest satisfaction results.
• Use insights to refine training strategies and maximize impact.
Mobility & Planning
• Maintain a rotating presence across all 8 hotels, ensuring regular in-person support and follow-up.
• Manage training calendars and logistics across multiple locations effectively.
• Administration & Compliance
• Maintain accurate training records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Support funding applications and reporting in collaboration with HR and local authorities (e.g., Fundae).
*** This role requires rotating presence across all 8 hotels and is expected to be based in the Canary Islands. Ongoing work authorization is required ***
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in Training & Development, preferably in a multi-property or regional role.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to different hotel environments.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Hospitality experience required.
• Hyatt experience is highly valued.
