Description

A General Maintenance Worker will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas. Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills.

This position is part-time.

  • Thompson Seattle colleagues begin accruing Vacation Time on their first day of service. At six months of service, colleagues are vested in the time they have been accruing. Full Time & Part Time Colleagues are eligible for vacation time.

Wage Information

Hourly role: The hourly rate for this position starts at $26.83 with an increase to $27.33 after 90 days.

Hourly roles with five-year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $27.33 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for five years, which is an additional $0.50

Hourly roles with seven year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $27.33 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for seven years, which is an additional $0.75

Hourly roles with ten year rates: The hourly starting rate for this position is $27.33 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for ten years, which is an additional $1.00

Qualifications
Core Qualifications

• Public area and guest room preventative maintenance.
• Guest relations skills.
• Perform all tasks in compliance with security policies and Hyatt Standards.
• Organize the engineering workshop and parts inventory.
• Responsible for engineering shift coverage.
• Candidate will maintain building and equipment.
• Replacing the guest room AC fan motor and clean filter.
• Monitoring fire alarm system status.
• Basic troubleshooting skills required (electricity, plumbing, touch up paintingetc.).
• Maintain all facility repairs and work orders.
• Conduct all preventive maintenance checks in coordination with DOE.
• Ensure interior and exterior landscaping irrigation is in good condition.
