WE ARE LOOKING FOR a Full Time Banquet Captain

Job Summary:

We are excited to share that Hyatt Regency Portland has an opportunity for people who love helping people.

Please join our Banquets team as a Full Time Banquet Captain

The hourly rate is $17.95/hour, plus gratuity.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Making the function space visually appealing

• Presenting the menu offering for the event

• Preparing linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service

• Overseeing the general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment

• May assist in scheduling required staff for banquet functions.

Qualifications
Qualifications

• Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar customer service role preferred.

• Open availability during mornings and evenings, including on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Thorough understanding of banquet operations.

• Must have full availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays during the mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

• Must possess an OLCC permit and Oregon Food Handlers Card upon hire.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

• Attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.

• Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling a moderate amount of weight.
