Role
The Pastry Cook supports the hotel's restaurants and banquet department by preparing fresh, creative pastries and desserts. Responsibilities include handling daily pastry orders, last-minute cake requests, and contributing to cooking demos, wedding cakes, sugar sculptures, and bakery production. The role involves following standard recipes, using only high-quality ingredients, and maintaining consistency in food preparation and presentation. Tasks include measuring, mixing, baking, decorating, and regulating oven temperatures for various pastries and desserts. The Pastry Cook also manages daily requisitions, maintains a clean and organized workstation, ensures equipment is in working condition, and adheres to all food safety and sanitation standards. Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to correct dish deficiencies are essential in maintaining the highest quality and presentation standards.
